The idea for creating a safe space for accessible, safe, and user-friendly service appointments and management had its first drops when Yervand’s (the Founder of Hertoff) friend started his own business – a barbershop. During endless conversations the two had about the pros and cons of getting involved in such an occupation, Yervand’s friend asked him whether there is any possibility to have a personal platform or an app where people can log in and easily book an appointment for themselves, without going through all widely-accepted and normalized steps and stages of contacting the business, reserving a time slot, canceling in case of necessity, and much more. Yervand said yes back then, just like Hertoff now says yes to an easier, more accessible, faster service provision and management through our platform.
At the time, the idea was small – to have a simple reservation page developed solely for IOS, even excluding the possibility for the page to be used on Android-run devices. Regardless of the small scope of operation of the page, Yervand’s friend kept giving positive feedback on what a savior that simple reservation page was! Not only did it make the booking processes more obtainable, but it also helped engage a huge number of new customers for a barbershop located far away from the center of Yerevan, was yet unknown, and did not have a regular client basis. However, to everyone’s surprise, the analytics of that simple reservation page were so impressive that Yervand decided to give it a try and make it something more significant — much bigger!
With this realization in mind, Yervand concluded that if such a simple page can be that kind of a helping hand for a service provider and its customers, this innovative idea can be beneficial for more prominent companies and service providers — regardless of field of operation, company size, and location.
Also, this excluded the necessity, especially for more prominent companies, to have a separate call center specialist responsible for appointment reservation — a total savior for potential businesses.
